We recently got the chance to visit a local school with Garden to Table. Having worked together to co-design our Toma-toes sock last year, it was an epic chance to see their programme in action. Through Garden to Table, tamariki are taught how to grow, harvest, prepare, and share nutritious kai for themselves and their community. For so many kids that come to school with empty stomachs, the programme is not only getting food in bellies, it’s giving food education a practical and important part of the school day.

From the vege garden, to the kitchen, to setting the dining table, to share food intentionally and together, Garden to Table is doing some incredibly meaningful work. Work that we’re really proud to get behind.
